Premashis Manna
Dr. Premashis (Prem) Manna is an incoming Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, The Ohio State University, starting in January 2025. He was a senior postdoc fellow in Haran Lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, from 2022 to 2024 and a postdoctoral scholar in the Schlau-Cohen lab at MIT from 2018 to 2022. He obtained his Ph.D. (2017) from the University of Colorado at Boulder, under the guidance of Dr. Ralph Jimenez . Dr. Manna completed his M.Sc. (2012) and B.Sc. (2010) in Chemistry from IIT Kanpur and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur, respectively. Prem co-started a YouTube channel (The Molecular Kitchen) where he talks about the science of cooking and also science in general. He spends his leisure time playing with his son, writing popular science articles or stories in Bengali, and occasional historical expeditions...
